PPL or Public Partnerships is an organization that was created to effectively implement the consumer-directed care needs of individuals and families in different states throughout the country.
The Department of Medical Assistance Services has contracted PPL to support eligible individuals with fiscal employer agent services which is necessary in the process of choosing a consumer-directed care model. PPL facilitates the process of acquiring care for the individual:
- criminal background checks on potential attendants to hire
- receiving, verifying and processing all time sheets
- maintaining payroll records
- processing tax forms and payments for the IRS
- processing enrollment in the Waiver Programs
